From all us at the Pipes of Christmas

Thank you for your support!

The Pipes of Christmas has officially concluded for another year, and our 25th year of Gaelic Christmas celebrations may well be our most memorable yet.

We are so grateful to all of our guests, performers, volunteers and donors for making this incredible event such a resounding success.

A Christmas gift for our generous donors

As a special thank you to the generous donors who have helped to make this year’s Pipes of Christmas possible, we have created a special Yule Log video to enjoy this holiday season. The video can be streamed from any device and is a heartwarming blend of beloved Pipes of Christmas recordings set against the serene backdrop of Scotland’s enchanting countryside, iconic landmarks, and a crackling Yule log in the hearth.

A Festival for the soul

The Pipes of Christmas brings together musicians, soloists, and performers from across America and the UK for a stirring celebration of the Christmas season and the Celtic spirit. Audience-goers return year after year to experience the program, many reporting that the Pipes of Christmas has become part of their family’s annual Christmas tradition.

The concert is hosted by the Learned Kindred of Currie, a non-profit cultural and educational organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting Celtic heritage and the arts.

As our primary fundraiser, the Pipes of Christmas ensures that we can continue our efforts to support the global Scottish community through initiatives like:

  • Providing scholarships to deserving students
  • Hosting the largest Tartan Day event in the world, Tartan Day on Ellis Island, which received 184,000 visitors in 2023 alone!
  • Commissioning of new musical and cultural works
  • The Learned Kindred of Currie Monuments Initiative, which helps erect and preserve new and existing locations such as the Scottish Writers Museum and Bale nam Bàrd (the bard’s home) on the Island of South Uist
  • Developing a cultural heritage centre in Scotland (currently in preliminary stages)

Support the production

This annual concert & webcast is the Learned Kindred’s only fundraiser, generating their operating budget for the year ahead. In addition to supporting our world-renowned musicians and creative collaborators, this program is a special fundraising event to support our cultural outreach and scholarship fund. Donations of all sizes are welcomed.

Hosting the Pipes of Christmas each year is a massive undertaking that includes significant upfront production costs. Your support allows us to cover our costs and reinvest as much of the concert’s proceeds as possible into our programming and outreach.
