Jesse R. Patterson, station manager of HomeTowne Television and long-time “Pipes of Christmas” broadcast and web collaborater has died. He was 31 years old.
“We have lost an important but frequently unheralded member of our “Pipes” family,” said Robert Currie, executive producer of the concert. Clan Currie and HomeTowne Television began an over decade-long partnership with their first cablecast of concert highlights in 2000.

When Patterson took ill, the programs continued under creative support of Interim Station Manager, Jay McCann.
Since that time, the two groups have been recognized with over a half-dozen awards for broadcast quality excellence.
Since 2000, the broadcast has annually reached over 140 thousand homes in 40 NJ communities.
In more recent years, the station began streaming live webcasts of all their broadcast content, making the “Pipes” programs available to a worldwide audience.
Born in Nutley, N.J., and raised in Rockaway, N.J., where he graduated from Morris Hills High School in 2000, Jesse lived in Summit for the past five years. While at Morris Hills, he was a member of the fencing team and was involved with TV production.
Jesse graduated from the College of New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He was the station manager at HomeTowne Television in Summit, where he worked for the past 10 years.

Jesse was a member of the executive board at JAG (Jersey Access Group) and was a member of Home For Good Dog Rescue in Summit. He was a beekeeper, loved reading, video games and travel, as well as playing drums with his band.
Jesse was the loving and devoted husband of Jerusha Veres. He was the beloved son of Robert and Gloria Patterson and cherished brother of Rachel Wainer and her husband, Seth.
He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Leslie Veres, and sister-in-law, Jolyn Veres, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
